A couple of weeks ago at the Hot Rod anniversary Car Show, I took some sweet pics of one of my favorite vehicles ever.
I was excited to see this combo, it was probably my favorite thing at the show, other than getting to sit in a hemi slingshot dragster thanks to John Ewald, who was super cool, very gracious, and genuinely funny nice guy. He took this pic for me, and I’ll never forget it. http://i.imgur.com/NUpz5rx.jpg
Anyway, one of the most exciting things I saw at the show was a trailer for a film, about Don “The Snake” Prudhomme and Tom “The Mongoose” McEwen and their groundbreaking accomplishments in the world of drag racing. The film also focuses on how the two unlikely figures revolutionized entertainment sports marketing when they attracted Mattel’s Hot Wheels Division to sponsor them, according to a press release from the film producers.
Part of the paragraph above is from Wikipedia.
The trailer was simply AWESOME looking! I’m really excited to see the film, I don’t work for these guys or anything, I was just reminded of all this when I absent-mindedly blew up a balloon for my baby nephew, and was surprised to see the designed emblazoned upon it.
Here’s the balloon. . . http://i.imgur.com/Isl433N.jpg
OK, and now, without further ado, the TRAILER!! http://vimeo.com/52169787
